Miele EcoLine Green vacuum cleaner with 1300 W power output
Energy-saving miracle

More and more consumers are going for vacuum cleaners that are sparing in their use of electricity. But, at the same time, they have no wish to forfeit good cleaning performance. So here comes good news: Vacuum cleaning in energy-saving mode is now an option at Miele with the pending launch of the 1300 W EcoLine Green model.

Cleaning performance is always the key issue when developing a new vacuum cleaner. This premise applied equally so when product engineers at Miele first set about designing an appliance which would produce the usual high-level cleaning results with a minimum of input. Thanks to technical modifications, this is now possible. With a power output of 1300 W, the EcoLine Green vacuums as well as previous versions with several hundred watts more under their bonnet. But customers now have a choice of wattages, ranging from 1300 W to 2200 W, to meet their needs.

The EcoLine Green belongs to the S5 model series and is fitted with a Super Air Clean filter. Alternatively, this can be replaced by an Active Air Clean or Active HEPA filter. Dust is collected in the new HyClean dustbag and can be disposed of hygienically together with domestic refuse. The useable bag volume is 4.5 l.

Suction power is selected using a six-stage rotary selector and self-explanatory symbols. A 'Silence' setting ensures low-noise operation. The stainless-steel telescopic suction tube can be parked at the rear of the unit during short breaks. The tube and hose can also be attached to the left or right-hand side of the unit for carrying or storage in a upright position. On-board accessories are stored in a separate compartment and are always ready at hand.

The S5 EcoLine Green is a veritable energy-saving miracle. With an output of only 1300 W, the unit cleans the floor as thoroughly as more power-packed models in the lineup. This has been made possible through modifications to the motor.
