New M 8000 microwaves with user-friendly controls and elegant design

Design elegance

Users need them but would prefer them to be out of sight: In many kitchens, microwave ovens are among consumers' favourite appliances although they are not really very attractive. The new series of Miele microwave ovens is different altogether. These built-in appliances blend in harmoniously with the design of other Miele appliances and stand out by virtue of their unobtrusive elegance. Easy to operate, intelligent ventilation technology and high-quality features make the new M 8000 series simply perfect.

Horizontal lines, black glass and stainless steel or aluminium, alternatively in a white, black or brown finish, emphasise optimum design. As the approx. 20 models are only available as built-in appliances, there is no visible vent grille on the uniform, smooth front. In fact, the ventilation concept on Miele appliances is a particular highlight. Unlike the usual method, vapours are released into the kitchen at the front and not at the back into the cupboard where they can do damage in the long run.

Simple operation

Any basic function can be started in two to three steps, also without having to read the operating instructions first. Behind the uncluttered control panel lie intelligent electronic controls. All operations are controlled via two rotary knobs and several pushbuttons. The controls are logically structured, ranging from various automatic defrosting and reheating programmes to options for a fully fledged cooking programme. And for those who always find themselves pushed for time: A QuickSet function, once programmed, can be called up at the touch of a button to warm up a cup of milk, for example. The appliance also features a System Lock which provides protection against inquisitive, tampering fingers.

High-end features

The inner cabinet on the new M 8000 series, as is usual at Miele, is made from easy-to-clean stainless steel and houses a turntable. Standard accessories include a boiling rod, recipe booklet and plate cover and, according to model, also a grilling rack, glass drip tray and gourmet plate. All of these are also available as optional extras. The gourmet plate is ideal for preparing a crispy pizza also in a microwave oven. This plate consists of a ferrite base (a mixture of iron and silicon) and is coated with Teflon. Unlike other microwave accessories, this plate actually becomes hot during cooking, providing pastry and meat dishes with a delicious brown crust.

In addition to the fronts described, 17 l and 26 l appliances are available with or without a grill. The six models with various features also differ in dimensions: Appliances are available for installation in a 50 cm or 60 cm niche in a wall or tall unit. A 26 l freestanding unit with grill, which is also suitable for installation in a tall unit with lift-up door, rounds off the range – although this appliance is really too elegant to be hidden away.

Simple operation, tried-and-tested technology and high-end features best describe Miele's M 8000 microwave ovens. The built-in appliances feature special ventilation technology which ensures that cooking vapours are released at the front into the kitchen and not into the cupboard. Despite this fact, there is no visible vent grille to destroy the elegant look of the microwave oven.
