Experiencing brand and products live
Miele opens Galleries in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur

Dubai/Kuala Lumpur, December 8, 2011. – In around 50 metropolises worldwide, Miele is flying the flag in its product and experience worlds, officially termed Galleries, with attractive and inviting presentations. Existing Galleries around the world have now been joined by Dubai and Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.
Miele is currently represented in 47 countries with its own wholly-owned sales subsidiaries and in a further 50 via distributors and importers. Alongside providing reliable after-sales service and spare parts, these Galleries represent an integral part of Miele's worldwide branding effort. Boasting spacious showrooms covering up to 1000 m², these flagship representations both contribute to the Miele brand's premium claim and cater for regional preferences and distinctions. In order to bring the brand and its products to life for sales partners and end-users alike, Miele has equipped its Galleries with training facilities and active kitchens for hands-on cooking events.
220 invited guests attended the opening of the new Miele Gallery in Dubai. The Sama Tower in the Sheikh Zayed Road, only completed last year, houses Miele's World of Experience on two floors. A tour of the ground-floor facilities presents visitors with fully equipped show kitchens, a coffee bar and Miele@home, a system for networking smart domestic appliances. Passing the elegant black-and-white presentation walls showing off vacuum cleaners and laundry care appliances to perfection, visitors automatically arrive at Miele Professional, an area showcasing heavy-duty machines for commercial applications. In the staircase to the upper floor, historical advertising and photographs of past products illustrate the company's 112-year pedigree. The upper floor of the Gallery with its active kitchen offers ample space for product launches, training courses, cooking demonstrations and art exhibitions.
It is befitting that Dubai generated one of the single biggest orders in the company's history: The kitchens of the 900 apartments in the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, are now home to no less than 7560 Miele appliances. This has since been followed by other major orders such as the 1400 or so laundry care and kitchen appliances for the Landmark Tower in Abu Dhabi, now nearing completion.
A further Gallery has recently been inaugurated within sight of the famous Petronas Towers in Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur. This brand experience takes in two floors of the newly built Menara Kencana Petroleum Building. On the ground floor, brand- and status-conscious visitors from throughout Malaysia can experience the entire gamut of products first-hand. An exclusive event centre with an active kitchen is available on the 12th. floor of the same building for cookery demonstrations and hospitality events for partners in business. Miele's subsidiary in Malaysia, founded in 2009, has already equipped several exclusive projects with Miele's bespoke appliances, including all the 94 units in the luxury ONE KL Tower and the premium penthouses and apartments at Zephyr Point.
